Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) is a popular undergraduate medical course in the field of homeopathy. Homeopathy is a holistic system of medicine based on the principle of “like cures like” and focuses on stimulating the body’s natural healing process.
BHMS is an undergraduate program with a total duration of 5.5 years, which includes 4.5 years of academic education and 1 year of compulsory rotating internship. The course combines theoretical knowledge with clinical training to prepare students for professional practice in homeopathic medicine.
The BHMS curriculum covers subjects related to homeopathic philosophy, materia medica, repertory, organon of medicine, pathology, forensic medicine, community medicine, and modern medical sciences. The program is structured into four academic years followed by a compulsory internship.
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board.
Candidates must have qualified NEET UG, which is mandatory for BHMS admission in India.
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, OCIs, PIOs, and NRIs are eligible as per government norms.
The candidate must be at least 17 years old as of 31st December of the admission year.
