Aerospace Engineering is a specialized branch of engineering that focuses on the design, development, testing, and maintenance of aircraft, spacecraft, satellites, missiles, and related systems. The field combines advanced concepts from aerodynamics, propulsion, materials science, avionics, and structural engineering.
Aerospace Engineering is offered as an undergraduate program (B.Tech / B.E in Aerospace Engineering) with a duration of 4 years, divided into 8 semesters. The course provides a strong foundation in engineering fundamentals along with specialized aerospace subjects and practical training.
The curriculum includes subjects such as engineering mechanics, aerodynamics, aircraft structures, propulsion systems, flight mechanics, avionics, control systems, spacecraft technology, materials for aerospace applications, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD). Students also gain exposure through laboratory work, simulations, projects, and industrial internships.
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
Mandatory subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
Admission is primarily through national or state-level engineering entrance examinations (such as JEE Main / JEE Advanced or equivalent) or institute-level exams.
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, OCIs, PIOs, and NRIs are eligible as per institutional guidelines.
Minimum aggregate marks:
General category: 45%–50%
Reserved category: Relaxation as per government rules
