Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is a foundational program in pharmaceutical education designed to prepare students for careers in pharmacy practice and healthcare services. The course focuses on the study of medicines, their preparation, dispensing, and safe usage under medical guidance.
D.Pharm is a 2-year diploma course, followed by practical training / internship as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The program emphasizes both theoretical learning and hands-on practical experience in pharmaceutical sciences.
The D.Pharm curriculum includes subjects such as pharmaceutics, pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmacology, pharmacognosy, hospital and community pharmacy, and drug store management. It equips students with the essential skills required to work as licensed pharmacists.
The candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board.
Mandatory subjects: Physics and Chemistry, along with Biology or Mathematics.
Nationality: Indian Nationals, Foreign Nationals, OCIs, PIOs, and NRIs are eligible as per institutional norms.
